The PELICAN slide is a leather-wrapped memory foam molded footbed platform sandal (now that’s a mouthful!). The molded footbed will provide arch and overall foot support and the memory foam will give cushion to the sole. The upper is 100% leather and the outsole is rubber for an easy all-surface grip.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our use of vegetable-tanned leathers, recycled and recyclable products, packaging, and leather sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. Materials + Construction

  • Soft, supple leather upper and lining.

  • Signature two metal studs at inside of sole - our classic beek branding.
  • Rubber outsole for enhanced grip.
  • Front height 1”, back heel height 1 ⅝” (measured on size 6)
  • Our Pelican leather instep pad can be added for a more snug fit.

Product Care

To keep your beek sandals looking as beautiful as the day you got them, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and treat them to a conditioning session 2-3 times a year. Psst, we even have the perfect conditioner available on our site – talk about convenience!

The metallic foil should not be treated with any care products.

Sizing + Fit

Runs true-to-size. For our "half size" pals, we recommend sizing up for the perfect fit. Our Pelican leather instep pad can be added if you need a more snug fit.

My favorite summer shoe!

"I love them. My second pair! I did order a size smaller because of how much they stretch, and I think they will be perfect. They 100% will be the shoe of the summer for me…they really go with everything! The platform gives me a polished feel but also casual enough to “tone down” feeling too dressy. Comfy beyond. Great work shoe! I am in my feet all day as an Hair Stylist:) Also,I love birds and find it funny that my favorite shoe is named Beek! The shoe box was so cute too don’t want to recycle it!"

"I finally broke the code! I wear a 5.5 and in reading all the fit specs, Beek suggests that if you’re in the half size range to size up. That works for me in Beek flats but not in any of the higher platform or heeled styles. I had to return two Beeks that were size 6 because they were enormous! So I took a chance again on the Pelican (my first purchase a few months ago in size 6 was returned and size 5 was not available) in a size 5 and it was a perfect fit. Yipee! And by the way, not only a perfect fit but comfortable as well."

Great quality but not comfortable

"These are beautiful and the materials are high quality. The fit is true to size. The problem is if you are going to doing much walking, they hurt. They cut into the tops of my feet to the point of blistering. Great if you’re not going to moving around much, but don’t plan on going very far in these."

Beautiful but tight

"I wanted to love these but was concerned about the leather across the top. My foot is medium width and I not chunky but it’s just too tight. I’ve been hoping it will stretch eventually but worn these 3x and just won’t give, my foot hangs off and I can’t walk comfortably. I considered ordering a half size up but that’s usually too big for me. This is a conundrum. Too expensive not to wear but can’t wear."

Do these slides run true to size
HI Cathy, yes the Pelican runs true to size and we recommend that half sizes size up. Feel free to give them a try - we do offer free returns and exchanges if you are not happy with the fit!
Do the sandles shown come in size 8or 81/2 narrow ? I love your shoes but have narrow width.
Hi Cynthia, unfortunately we do not carry narrow sizes. We DO have the Pelican Instep Pad that can help with more narrow feet to give the upper strap a more snug fit. Feel free to give these a try (see how they feel placed inside strap without removing the adhesive first) - we do offer free returns and exchanges if you are not happy with the fit!
If I wear shoe size 7.5 should I round up in the beek pelican?

I have narrow shallow feet and usually need a sandal with an adjustable strap. One reviewer mention that she also has narrow feet and ordered a pad that helped the fit. Do you sell such a pad?
