We couldn’t find an instep pad (a pad that is used for the ‘under-side’ of the sandal straps) that was both functional AND attractive . . . so we made one ourselves! This pad is specifically made for our best-selling Pelican style and features adhesive on one side so you can easily stick it to the upper to give your sandals a more snug fit. Perfect for all you narrow foot ladies out there! And we use the same quality leather that we use for our lining so not only is it super soft and comfortable it also matches the natural lining on most of our styles, so it blends in!

I purchased the Pelican insert

"I purchased the Pelican insert pads both in brown and black for the Albatross sandal because I have both colors in this sandal. I normally fit size 8-8. 5 in shoes but had to purchase the 9 (8 was too short in length). The insert made a huge difference since the 9 was a little big on me. No more feet sliding to the front and the pad only added to the comfort of the sandals. I actually purchased more pads for my other (non-Beek) sandals as well."

Q&A

Dumb question: do you put these in the Pelican vertically or horizontally?
Hi, the instep pad should be placed horizontally parallel across the upper strap on the Pelican. Feel free to email us if you have any further questions - we're happy to help!
I just bought these for my Albatross, where do I put these on the upper or on side of strap?
The instep pad goes on the underside of the upper strap. We recommend trying the sandal on and placing the pad in between the strap and your foot without taking off the adhesive to see if that helps with a secure fit. Once you find the most comfortable placement, you can remove the adhesive and attach. Hope that helps!
Would an instep pad work with Gallito?
The Rectangle Instep Pad would be the right fit for the Gallito, but these are currently sold out on our website - sorry about that! We are hoping to get these restocked soon. You can also try searching for felt tongue pads on amazon that can be trimmed and used with the Gallitos for a more snug fit as well.
