The PELICAN slide is a leather-wrapped memory foam molded footbed platform sandal (now that’s a mouthful!). The molded footbed will provide arch and overall foot support and the memory foam will give cushion to the sole. The upper is 100% leather and the outsole is rubber for an easy all-surface grip.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our use of vegetable-tanned leathers, recycled and recyclable products, packaging, and leather sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. Materials + Construction

  • Soft leather-wrapped molded memory foam footbed.
  • Soft, supple leather upper and lining.
  • Molded arch for added support!
  • Signature two metal studs at inside of sole - our classic beek branding.
  • Rubber outsole for enhanced grip.
  • Front height 1”, back heel height 1 ⅝” (measured on size 6)
  • Our Pelican leather instep pad can be added for a more snug fit.

Product Care

To keep your beek sandals looking as beautiful as the day you got them, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and treat them to a conditioning session 2-3 times a year. Psst, we even have the perfect conditioner available on our site – talk about convenience!

The metallic foil should not be treated with any care products.

Ground shipping is FREE on orders $200+ to all 50 states and US territories. Loyalty members receive free ground shipping on all orders.

We offer easy returns within 14 days of delivery. Returns are refunded to the original form of payment, less a $10 restocking fee. The restocking fee is waived for our VIB and Goldenbird tier loyalty members. Exchanges are free.

"I love the sandals. Customer service is not good. They are not forth right. I ordered another pair along with this one and had to return it to exchange for a larger size. "These are my favorite sandals now. I'm getting old and the fat padding on my feet is starting to disappear so I need cushion in my shoes. These are the ones!

"I have 3 other pairs of beek sandals and have always felt they are comfortable, but not as cushioned as I would like. I waited and waited for the pelicans to go on sale, and they are everything I hoped for. These truly do feel as comfortable as my Birkenstocks, and I find them a bit wider than my Gallitos which I bought last year and which are a tiny bit tight on me. Is a size 8 a European size 42?

Do they come in narrow ?
Hi Rita, we don't have a separate narrow size, but if your feet are more narrow, we have a Pelican instep pad under accessories. These can be attached to the underside of the strap to give the Pelicans a more snug fit.
I have a terrible time with slides that won't stay on my feet. Anyone having an issue with them "sliding" off when you walk?
Hi, it really varies, but we do have an instep pad specifically for the Pelican that can be attached to the underside of the upper strap to give them a more snug, secure fit.
