The KEA slide is a suede-wrapped memory foam molded footbed sandal (now that's a mouthful!) The molded footbed will provide arch and overall foot support and the memory foam will give cushion to the sole. The upper is 100% suede (double lined) and the outsole is rubber for an easy all-surface grip.

Lovely but Painful

"I just got these shoes a couple of days ago and I have worn them all day today. I really love the texture of them. The suede is so soft; like buttah as they say. However, on this third day of ownership having worn them a few hours for two days then about 8 hours today, they are already looking pretty worn. The logo on the heel is already rubbed off. The worst part though is that these shoes do not have any of the support of the last pair of Beeks I bought (Pelican), so it was a big mistake to wear them to the airport. My feet are in PAIN. So, I would wear these to an event where I was walking or standing a couple of hours but not to a place like the airport."

Love them but can’t….

"I love the designs, quality of materials used, and of course “the look” of all Beek footwear, but I have a very high arch and thus need serious “arch support” which must be built into sandals. I can add an orthotic to closed shoes but not sandals…. . so I need to return my first my pair chosen, but will be back with guidance from Beek staff as to what would work best for wide feet with high arches! Thank you"

Q&A

Do the shoes have arch support? Do customers say that the shoes stay on their feet?
Yes! The Kea features a molded memory foam footbed with arch support. The wider straps will also help keep them fitting snugly on your foot. If you do have a more narrow foot, you can also try adding our instep pads to the upper strap for an extra secure fit.
I’m a half size so wondering if you recommend sizing up or down.
For the Kea, we are recommending half sizes to size down.
I have the Kia in Carmel and I love them. I am also collecting a flick of beek’s The suede is so soft I am wondering what type of product I should use to protect them? Could you give suggestions on that please.
So glad you love them! We are currently sold out of our waterproofing spray but you can treat them with a suede waterproofing spray that you can find online or at your local cobbler. Thanks!
