Many years ago I purchased a relatively similar pair of boots from Italy and I adored those boots. I have been looking for something similar (not too tall, not too short, laces, a bit of heel) for a very long time, but nothing came even close, The Rose meadowlark boots are superb, super comfortable out of the box and 10 times nicer than my old boots. It was love at first sight! They were true to size for me. I am a size 8, and the Beek size 8 fit very well.
